The
team leader, Ramesh Nambiar is a 42 years old, energetic, enthusiastic
adventure and wildlife enthusiast, with ancestral roots in down south Kerala,
was born in Shillong nestled in the beautiful North-east where he went to school
at St. Edmund's run by the Irish Brothers. He then moved to the Deccan and graduated
from Nizam's College in Hyderabad where many of India's cultural flavors blend.
Since completing his Post Graduation from Jawahar Lal Nehru University in Delhi
in Geography and submitting his M. Phil dissertation on "River water disputes
in South Asia" he had his fill of serious academics. He put an abrupt end
mid-way to what he called his 'mediocre academic research' at JNU in Delhi to
pursue his lifelong passion for nature and the great outdoors. In 1989 he joined
Tiger Tops Mountain Travel - the pioneers in wildlife camps and trekking and
trained in various capacities to finally take over in 1992 as the Manager of
Ladakh Sarai . Still hooked to wanderlust, he believes there is still so much
more to learn in this vast sub-continent and does not miss a chance to look
for a new oasis of peace somewhere in the hidden layers of this diverse country.
